Октобар је. Суво лишће пуца при додиру с ђоном. Недостаје му хлорофила. Да ли је мом оцу мањкало хлорофила када га је мајка напустила? Да ли се њихов брак, попут листа, распукао од оштрог ваздуха који исушава? Или су, можда, и пре јесени, свели од недостатка слоге? Хладноћа октобарског јутра јемчи ледену новембарску ноћ.
Презирем тај месец. Почива баш на међи два годишња доба, те не знам како да се обучем за школу. Нити сам сигурна који израз лица приличи климатским условима.
Усиљено се смешим зубатом сунцу. Осећам како ме, заузврат, гризе. Дере засторе на души, као да својом чељусти жели да открије оно што се крије током његове кратке смене.
Но, када ме на починку дана разголити новембарски месец, завесе саме спадну. За тренутак је све доступно оку посматрача. У недостатку покривача, нага душа слева се у сузе. Брзо их затајим пиџамом. Тада се од јесење студени штитим вуненим ћебетом. И дуго простор испод паперјастог наноса грејем шапатом: „Ипак су морали да се разведу. Њихова љубав је свела.“
Годишњи часовник је већ неколико пута откуцао нову јесен. Казаљка је опет на новембру. Док газим труло лишће, по небројени пут постављам иста питања, варајући се да ћу сада дати одговоре. Да ли природа саосећа са мном, те је у ово доба изразито пуста? И зашто, ми људи, најлакше пуцамо у јесен? Да ли нас зла коб баш сада бездушно притиска ђоном? Или је стихија одувала отпор који иначе пружамо? Или су се само моји родитељи развели у новембру?
